We believe transparency about cost is part of respectful, values-aligned care. No surprises, no confusion. Just a clear picture of what to expect so you can make the decision that is right for you.
This is a private-pay practice, which means you pay directly for your care rather than through insurance. Many clients find this model offers greater privacy, more flexibility, and a therapeutic relationship guided by your needs rather than insurance requirements. HSA and FSA cards are accepted, and out-of-network (OON) superbills are available.
For those hoping to use insurance directly, panels may open in the future. Check back periodically for updates.
Full details on fees, payment, and insurance are outlined below.
Session Fees
| Service | Duration | Fee |
| Free Consultation Call | 20 minutes – Not a clinical service | No charge |
| Initial Intake Evaluation | 60 – 90 minutes | $300 – $325 |
| 60-minute Session | 53+ minutes | $275 |
| 45-minute Session | 38–52 minutes | $225 |
| Brief Check-In Session | 16–37 minutes | $150 |
The Initial Intake Evaluation reserves 60–90 minutes for a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment. Most intakes are completed in 60–75 minutes at the $300 rate. The $325 rate applies when extended time is clinically necessary. The applicable fee is confirmed at the close of the session.
The 60-Minute Session is the standard format for most ongoing individual therapy and is particularly well-suited for complex or acute presentations, early phases of treatment, and trauma-focused work.
The 45-Minute Session is available for clients in later phases of treatment when a shorter format is clinically appropriate.
The Brief Check-In Session is reserved for established clients in a maintenance or taper phase. This is a collaborative clinical determination.
Cancellation & No-Show Policy
Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you. Please provide as much advance notice as possible when canceling or rescheduling. Cancellation and no-show fees are charged to the card on file and are not billable to insurance. Exceptions may be considered for documented emergencies.
| Notice | Fee |
| 48 hours or more | No charge |
| 24-48 hours | 50% of scheduled session fee |
| Less than 24 hours | 75% of scheduled session fee |
| No-show with no contact | 100% of session fee |
Psychoeducation Services
Psychoeducation sessions are educational in nature and are distinct from psychotherapy. No diagnosis is made, no treatment is provided, and no superbill will be issued. These services are not billable to insurance. Sessions may be scheduled as standalone services or as a complement to ongoing therapy.
| Type | Duration | Fee |
| Individual | 45-60 minutes | $200 |
| Dyad (2 participants) | 60-75 minutes | $250 |
Documentation & Non-Session Consultation Fees
Professional work outside of scheduled sessions (i.e., FMLA paperwork, consultation) is billed at up to $50 per 15-minute increment of professional time. You will always receive an estimated fee before any work begins. These fees are not billable to insurance.
Standard turnaround for documentation is 7–10 business days.
Forensic evaluation, custody-related services and expert testimony are outside the scope of this practice and are not offered.
Insurance & Payment
Women’s Counseling & Wellness Collective is a self-pay practice. We do not participate in any insurance networks or bill third-party payers at this time. Payment is due in full at the time of service.
HSA and FSA cards are accepted. Psychotherapy with a licensed psychologist qualifies as an eligible expense under IRS guidelines. Please confirm coverage details with your plan administrator.
Accepted payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, HSA/FSA cards.
If you have out-of-network mental health benefits, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement from your insurer. We provide a monthly superbill at no additional charge to help you submit that claim yourself. We cannot guarantee reimbursement and are not able to advocate with your insurance company on your behalf. Superbills cover clinical session fees only.
Questions to ask your insurer before your first appointment:
- Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
- What is my out of network (OON) deductible, and has it been met?
- What percentage of the session fee will be reimbursed after my deductible?
- Are telehealth sessions covered under my OON benefits?
Frequently Asked Questions
How often do clients typically meet?
Most clients begin with weekly or biweekly sessions, with frequency adjusted collaboratively over time based on your needs, progress, and schedule.
How long does therapy typically last?
This varies depending on your goals and what you are working through. Some clients engage for a few months around a specific transition, while others continue longer to explore deeper patterns or ongoing challenges. This is discussed early on and revisited as needed.
Do you accept insurance?
This is a private-pay practice and insurance is not billed directly. For clients with out-of-network benefits, a monthly superbill can be provided to support reimbursement. HSA and FSA cards are accepted.
What is your cancellation policy?
Because your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you, advance notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling. Appointments canceled with less than 48 hours’ notice are subject to a fee.
